I’ve run campaigns and worked on campaigns. If you don’t vote, do you know how much we worry about what you think? Zilch. Zero. We don’t waste money contacting you, knocking your door, trying to figure out what you want. You’re a political nullity, triaged away in favor of consistent voters.

I'm thinking of starting a combined waste management and exercise class business.

It's a skip higher company.

It always cracks me up that this is the only product that users are supposed to shoulder the burden of growing. Apple doesn't call me once a week like "Bad news sir the quarter's not looking good"

It's been in my head for two weeks since I saw a "no mooring" sign on the river and I'm glad I finally have freed it from my mind.

We've had to cancel our performance of Othello on the narrowboat because all the canal banks are full with holidaymakers' boats.
We can't find any place to moor.

EIM21765 - it's only non-taxable if you ask the employer to 'arrange' it.
If you pay for it yourself and claim it back then it's taxable.

(That follows the wording in the 1992 regs as well)

If screen is part of the job (eg journalist) then screen is required and the eyesight test is not a taxable benefit
*However* the test must be provided by the employer. If the employee pays for their own test and is reimbursed then it is a taxable benefit
What this means for self-employed is *shrug*
