Composure, Saints! This is a vital witness to our faith in Christ in any era of chaos.
Upon waking, let us meet with Jesus and trade our fear & anger for his courage & compassion.
Rely on God.
Read Scripture.
Be brave.
Pray valiantly.
Act like grownups.
Help the hurting.
Love defiantly.

You could almost certainly make more money and gain notoriety chasing something else.
But you’ll find life in him.
“For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of me will find it.”

What a wonderful article! 🤟
That first line of Sarah’s review 😂😂😂😂😂
I hope you use that in a book somewhere!!!
What have I missed now?
When murder is seen as a solution - a solution to be celebrated, shrugged at or whatabouted - it says more about you in particular and us as a society in general, than it does the aforementioned CEO/industry.
We are a society that has thoroughly devalued life across the board.
HOT TAKE:
If you’re celebrating the murder of that insurance company CEO, or can’t be bothered to at least recognize it’s a bad thing, or would rather soapbox about how bad the insurance industry is; YOU are part of the problem. Perhaps even a large part of it. 1/2

These are the best kind of stories. I can’t get enough of them and wish people would share more!
If your love for theology doesn't lead to a greater love for God and others, then you're not doing theology right.
Everyone wants to be Billy Graham. Few want to be Mordecai Ham. That’s the difference.
5 topics I could talk about for 30 minutes straight:
1. Anything Bible related
2. Star Wars
3. Archaeology/history
4. Tennessee sports
5. Atlanta Braves

Found in the wild.
One of the sad spectacles of our time is watching people whose frame of reference is so exclusively political they lack the interpretive skills to imagine any motivations or actions apart from political calculation.
Also currently reading: The Character of Christ by Jonathan Landry Cruse. Part of my ongoing study on Christian character, especially Christlikeness and the fruit of the Spirit.
Current read: Candle & Crow. Kevin Hearne’s latest. Hearne created a whole hilarious modern fantasy world that explores comparative worldwide religion. If you’re a fan of Princess Bride, you’ll love Hearne’s books!
Every year of my life in ministry is convincing me more and more that the future of Christianity is not bigger, louder, and more famous. It’s smaller, quieter, and mostly unknown.
