We all have thoughts we like and thoughts we don't like. Tourette's is (among other things) about intrusive thoughts and blurting out things unwillingly, especially offending things. You're asking for the outcasting of people with Tourette's, well that is our life experience already.

Everybody has thoughts and terms in their minds about things they love and things they hate. Tourette's is about blurting them out uncontrollably. Personally I have a Tourette's vocabulary with some misogynist and anti-sex worker words, directly in opposition to my political activism.

Heb jij een representatieve groep venezolanen gesproken? De Venezolanen die aan het woord komen in het westen behoren altijd tot de kleine elite. In Latijns Amerika is het of een door de VS belaagde linkse regering, of een door de VS gesteunde fascistoide regering. Venezuela is niet anders.

Maduro een dictator noemen is een simplificatie. Dit soort simpliificaties wordt altijd toegepast op officiele vijanden en vrijwel nooit op officiele vrienden. Het enige alternatief dat we bieden aan Venezuela is fascisme, en daar hoor ik mensen in nl / clingendael nooit over.
Zit hier een argument in verstopt? Ik zie het nl. niet. Als jij clingendael een goede bron over Venezuela vindt, dan snap ik je mening wel.

Ik vind het kwalijk om in een situatie dat Venezuela zo aangevallen wordt, de boel te versimpelen tot "Maduro is een dictator".

En het punt is niet dat maduro goed is, maar dat we alleen een neoliberaal extreem rechts alternatief aan Venezuela bieden. Elk Latijns Amerikaanse land met een sociale politiek komt in de problemen met de VS. Dat zie je nu ook met Mexico, Colombia, etc.
Ik zou het AD (en in het algemeen de nederlandse pers) nooit raadplegen voor Latijns Amerika. Je zult vooral de amerikaanse lijn vinden. Vrijwel uitsluitend komt de venezolaanse elite aan het woord.
