“See 9’ Gator

See a nine-foot gator do what now?!

@jasonprokowiew.bsky.social I was just searching up some old friends to see what they're up to (since I'm not on Facebook anymore) and I see that your book is coming out this year?! Congratulations!
Sending you good vibes. I know that feeling about getting stuck on a piece for too long.
This is great. In particular, I love the use of different colors inks to illustrate the hair.
Thanks for the support! I can’t wait to hear what you think of it.
My campaign just passed its goal with 5 hours to spare. Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen.
Just keep scribbling. (said in the sing-song voice of Dory from Finding Nemo)
I adore this piece.
It's the last day for my friend's Kickstarter! I have everything he's released and he's hilarious. Check it out!
Illustration of the Big Bad Wolf waking up from a bad dream. A redheaded human woman sleeps soundly beside him in the curtained four-poster bed they appear to be sharing.
It's the final day to back the Kickstarter and I'm feeling a little like the Big Bad Wolf here. $136 left to go to hit our fundraising goal. So, if you'd like to learn how Red Riding Hood's childhood friend became her mortal enemy, check it out! www.kickstarter.com/projects/ecc...
I gotta be honest and admit that I think of this scene from “Ralph Breaks the Internet” often, especially when I’m writing and illustrating “The Blood of Seven Queens.” Fairy tale team ups FTW!
Brad makes an excellent point here. Why is "The Blood of Seven Queens" good?
Because it mashes up the stories of your favorite fairy tale characters into a fun, funny, and occasionally sexy tale about a young woman coming of age and coming into her power.
I would not be the writer I am today without @eccbooks.bsky.social There’s only a short time left to support his comic’s Kickstarter. Go check it out. You won’t be sorry. ❤️
Thanks for all these tips, Brad! I knew you had a whole bunch of stuff but I wasn't sure where to start.
I love the details around the neck transitioning down towards the main body of the piece. I hope your back forgives you soon.
Thanks so much, Joyce! I hope all's well with you!
Thanks for the kind words, Lupin—and for sharing the Kickstarter. I hope you are doing well and I'm very glad to read that you're still writing.
@bradguigar.com Any tips for getting a comics Kickstarter over the finish line in the final 48 hours? We hit 60% today and I'm told that's a good sign, that 95% of campaigns that pass 60% will reach their ultimate goal, but I'd love to not leave it up to chance.
Ye olde Kickstarter has passed 60% funding with around 48 hours left. I'm told that if a campaign passes 60%, there's a 95% chance it'll hit its goal. Fingers crossed! www.kickstarter.com/projects/ecc...
With 2 days left in the Kickstarter, I share a state and another sneak peek at issue 6 of THE BLOOD OF SEVEN QUEENS. www.patreon.com/posts/stat-a...
If you see this, post a rabbit
This is gorgeous. Brilliant line work in the hair and folds and just astonishingly beautiful use of color and negative space.
I'm writing and illustrating a comic book about how Red Riding Hood becomes the Queen of Hearts and a Kickstarter is happening right now for issue #6. www.kickstarter.com/projects/ecc...
Who has two thumbs, assorted opinions about fairy tales, and is going to be on the @worldanvil.com Twitch stream this afternoon at 1pm eastern? www.twitch.tv/worldanvil
Five shows to get to know me:
1. Lost
2. Friends
3. Battlestar Galactica
4. Bubblegum Crisis
5. Finding Your Roots
Oh my god, that's one of the most striking and strikingly beautiful images I've seen in a long time.
Photograph of six copies of a comic book fanned out on top of a cardboard box. The cover of the comic book depicts an anthropomorphic wolf man in shredded clothing bathed in green light.
Hard-copy proofs of the new comic arrived yesterday and they look gorgeous. 8 days left to back the Kickstarter and get one of your own. www.kickstarter.com/projects/ecc...
I forgot how much I missed these printers until I saw this. Like, why isn't there a crowdfunding campaign for a modern one of these?
I too feel quite isolated posting on social media. Please know that your art makes me smile.
