It was my mom's birthday yesterday also. She would have been 102. Maybe she was watching & decided not today devil tornado. Maybe there was some cosmic force that kept it away from me and my family. Who knows. Just silly pondering.

I dunno. Thank goodness it wasn't worse. But it still makes you ponder about fate.

2/ It makes one wonder. We don't have a basement so we hunkered down in a bathroom. I am 60 + and I have lived in KS my whole life. Never saw a tornado. Didn't see it last night either. We had not had a tornado hit in my town in 100 years.

We had an EF 2 tornado hit my small KS town last night. No one was killed but there were a lot of buildings damaged or destroyed. If the tornado had continued to move in the same direction it would have hit our street. It veered to the east & missed us by a block. It veered just in time to miss us.

Threads posts can piss me off for different reasons, but I follow this one elderly gentleman who posts what he eats every day. Meals, snacks, special occasion meals. It's all he posts, and it's the most satisfying feeling to see those posts. I say elderly as if I am not one, also. But I am old.
