Remember the primary season before the 2016 election? Lyndsey and Marco (and others) said that if "he" is the GOP nominee, "he" will destroy the Republican Party. Everyone on those stages knew the damage "he" would do to the country and their party. But in the end, proximity to power was to great.

Going to "blow up" sounds so much like an argument, maybe fight, between two 10-year-olds. I can imagine one saying, "I'll knock your block off" with the other replying "I'm going to blow up your stuff."

Absolutely. The OT justifies in their minds, violence and even killing for "righteous" causes. The "red letters" of Jesus in the NT tell a different story under the covenant of grace. Like "love your neighbor as yourself" and "hatred in our heart makes us guilty of murder."
