Prevention, continuity of treatment, and culturally responsive crisis response must be the standard — not the exception.

When we fight to #decriminalizementalillness these horrific harms (torture, starvation) are part of why we need to remove law enforcement (+jails prisons) from the equation. Miles was killed by police bullets when he needed care. Is this the "care" he would have received if he'd lived? 💔 NO!

Miles brought love and light into the world. He was so loved. He should be with his family celebrating his 29th birthday tomorrow.

In the face of unimaginable loss, the Hall family has turned their pain into purpose. This kind of love is everlasting.

Saturday February 15 would have been Miles 29th Birthday. Againwe're grateful the Contra Costa Board of Supervisors has declared it "Miles Hall Day of Remembrance".

We remember Miles EVERY day as he inspires everything we do to decriminalize and destigmatize mental illness and end police harm.

Remember this. We are weaker now. “Trump has groomed us.” Try to hold and speak and advocate what you know is right and true. We’ve already moved so far. Don’t change your standards to accommodate their shameless incompetence & cruelty.
