Since their defeat vs Estudiantes, GELP are on a 5 wins run with just one goal against.
They are into the semis with a hypothetical final vs Estudiantes.
Im here for it. 🐺

They are the team with the fewest possession in the league and face the second most SCA (big praise for the defence because it´s the second lowest SoT% of the league).
Also Arce, despite not being a huge GK (185cm) he has a great ability to stop crosses, great thing, as they face the most.

Deportivo Riestra are doing the unthinkable in Argentina, and the main protagonist is Ignacio Arce.
The veteran GK is being outstanding for them, with 18 clean sheets in 26 matches and just 15 goals conceded. He has an impressive 91% save percentage.

Whenever I see a young serbian defender going to a top league, I can´t avoid getting excited😁

I kinda think that he has like a synergy with Michel, I hope that he performs like last season because he is a very compromised player and Girona are gonna need him so much

I can´t agree more, Muniz is in the middle of the spin when Chalobah puts his foot and Muniz steps on it... you can´t consider that a foul.

Need to talk about that King "goal", this kid is something else.

Its funny how Real Zaragoza fans all blamed Bernardo Vital performances and celebrated his departure.
Now he just gives his team the away 0-1 victory in their Conference qualification.

To conclude this thread, I´ve created this graph to summarize Van Hecke´s distribution numbers along this Premier League season which helps understand JP profile as a Centr-back and how he can be a great signing for many top clubs.
Thanks for reading through, any advice is more than welcomed.

This four-quadrant graphic highlights Brighton’s playstyle and how it aligns with Van Hecke’s statistical profile.
The main outliers are Liverpool and Manchester City, not only do they dominate possession and create the most attacking opportunities, but they also break through the first defensive lines with ease, thanks to elite ball-playing defenders like Van Dijk and Gvardiol.

Brighton often relies on their CBs to make progressive carries into midfield or on Baleba dropping deep to receive and advance the ball. They also exploit highly vertical wing players, whose pace and dribbling allow them to drive into the final third and create danger from the flanks.

He has proven to be one of the best distributors on his team and in the league, excelling in ball progression and chance creation and his percentile rankings show that; which offers Brighton multiple options to advance up the pitch and establish possession in the opponent’s half with ease.

When compared to two top-class defenders from Manchester City, he displays a similar statistical output and even stands out in aerial duels.
With top clubs already showing interest, he’s definitely a player to watch this season — which could very well be his last one playing for the Seagulls.

This is my latest piece of work, analyzing one of the most in-form defenders in the Premier League.⏬

I also think that teams such as Liverpool or Bayern, given their current CB depth, should consider him — he has the skillset for a team like that and has been established at the top level for some time now.
Going a step further, Bayern could go not only for him but also for Verbruggen.
Thoughts?

I read about the Spurs interest in Van Hecke, and I can´t stop thinking about him being linked to City last year, should they have moved for him back then?

For sure they will, one of the smartest teams making profit and at the same time getting good results

Bloom has done it again. 20+M€ for Ivanovic plus a future sell-on clause that will cash up some more millions in 1-2 years. With his potential, Premier League football is not far from him. Cannot wait to see him playing in the CL

Now that's a comeback. The red card must have helped but keeping them to 0 SoT has some merit.

Valencia are again selling young homegrowns, they will regret this one imo. Wishing the best for Yarek at PSV
