Let's say China starts seeing food shortages. It not only shuts off its exports to retain food at home, but bids up food prices worlwide.

Same with India, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, some Central Asian oil-rich nations.

That would impact the U.S. very badly.

This tariff-refund portal is about to be America's hottest website Exactly two months after the Supreme Court struck down most of President Trump's tariffs, the U.S. government has set Monday as the day when some companies can begin requesting refunds.

U.S. Customs estimates it owes $166 billion in tariff refunds. Importers owed $127 billion have already signed up for e-transfer for their refunds.

Retailers are supposed to pass the refunds to whoever paid the actual customs bill. *snort*

Trump ‘screamed at aides for hours’ after US pilots went missing in Iran: report The F-15 fighter jet was shot down over Iran on April 3, prompting a high-stakes rescue mission

No surprise here. Nor is it surprising that his aides then had to keep him out of the room so that others could do their work.

This is a great film. But surely SOMEONE has a Spoleto Festival of the Two Worlds schedule from 1961 and can tell me EXACTLY the date it screened there.

Not clear if sunset provisions would work or not. A century ago, dual classes were blunt instruments to keep profits in the hands of a few and control out of the hands of all but the rich (the only ones who could amass enough common).

It's changed a lot. And yet, not! LOL

100 years ago, dual-class stock was incredibly common. When the Great Depression hit, that caused some immense problems.
