Zero traction on this is a little discouraging but I get it, there's so many more worthy causes out there.
Big plans will continue, they'll just take a little longer. Still, today is the day.

I'm one of those trans women. I worked ground ops for Artemis I.
I am torn between celebrating the success of my friends and peers and grieving how my dream of working for NASA was shattered by hateful assholes in Tallahassee
As a trans engineer who left the space industry in order to feel safe enough to transition: oof.

Absolutely, my day job is e-commerce ish and the change from pre-ozempic to now was real obvious. Even brands pretending to do plus representation have shifted to "can see all their bones" as the "average".
It was kind of interesting too the quality and glitches varied across the different streams for the same picture.
Like the no commentary live view seemed to be somewhat clearer, while the mission commentary had these interesting vertical rgb (mostly red) artifact lines at times.

Woahh there's so much interesting texture and stuff going on in this
An image of a figure in armor, crowned helm, and cape. The figure is wrapped in a banner pulled tight by their hand. The figure is framed in cascading text, symbols, and graphics - smeared and distorted as if run repeatedly through a broken printer.

I keep thinking “surely this is the lowest resolution I could support”. Until I got it to original gameboy specs 160x144 with some border room to spare.
You really can fit SO much stuff on a little screen.
As an experiment 256x256 is even workable 👀. May use this as a base resolution moving forward. Makes me want to try to fit this into GBA resolution 🤔
a spread of 16x16, 2 color characters from the post-jam version of my 7drl project. various oracles and mystical beings, some people disguised as devils, some skeletons, a grave digger.
if you appreciate my art, design, procedural, or experimental work, or design analysis, please consider supporting me or reposting! i'm /extremely/ good at living frugally but i would like to eat better and get a new computer. i'm aiming to get to $1000 a month.

I have a thief who didn't start off great, fell behind on the stat rolls for each level. So I figured I'd re-class them to a mage.
They aged a bit, aren't particularly doing well as a mage either. They now train alongside new mages, the young ones slowly outpacing everything except their raw HP.
Anyway viewing your party as an ever evolving set of characters who learn, forget things sometimes and occasionally decide to reset and learn a whole other field is really nice. I'm enjoying the idea of that a lot more than the direct constant unquestioning growth.
In Five Ordeals it seems an optimal path of learn wizard/priest spells, then re-class to physical ninja/fighter/whatever since spells and HP carry over. You get extra utility spells on characters.
But it's interesting to think on if that were broader, skills vs. just magic spells carrying over.
It kind of approximates fairly well characters keeping learned knowledge (spells mostly). But over (a very long) time physically deteriorating.
This paired with characters being able to switch classes, keep spells/HP but at the cost of starting at lvl 1 base stats is really interesting.
The leveling stuff is pretty interesting. Not sure how common some of these mechanics are across Wizardry as a whole.
You gain levels as usual, the interesting bit to me is stats sometimes decrease!
There's also an aging mechanic, and if a character is over 40 they lose stats more often lol.
It's a compilation of scenarios continuing the Wizardry Gaiden Japanese games. There's like 7 or so official scenarios under this game and hundreds+ user scenarios, even on the handheld switch version!
I've been playing this one scenario for weeks now lol.

Gameplay screen from Wizardry Five Ordeals, this shows a combat screen with a group of kobolds.
Still playing Wizardry Five Ordeals, currently doing the "beginner" scenario Price of Deception. So many interesting decisions for this game's rules and scenarios.
I'll maybe start threading them here as I think up stuff.
