How do you kill a Supercomputer?
(Accidentally) using radioactive solder is a good way.
IBM’s Blue Gene/L frequently crashed when running simulations at LLNL.
Turned out that alpha particles from the lead solder in the board carrier were slamming the L1 cache with bit flips.
The kickstarter just went live today. An impressive 8K RPG for the PET. Includes box and cloth map. <3 www.kickstarter.com/projects/tow...

The Commodore 64 came out 43 years ago. Recently, fans purchased the IP and resurrected the company. Brand new C64 "ultimate"s (they do cool stuff) are rolling off the assembly lines. A bunch of 50-year-olds are reliving their favorite childhood Christmas this year. :)

If you'd like to msg Becky Heineman, now is the time
Becky, I'm so blessed that you made time to sit and talk with me at VCF-W a few years ago. I loved hearing about the creative things you did and your approach to problem solving. Place yourself in God's hands who is ready to receive you. You are loved and will be remembered fondly by all. <3
