Probably a bit of conflation between "plot" and "story" happening. If the bullet point list of "plot" isn't sufficiently long or interesting looking, it must necessarily follow that the story isn't good. Not true obv., but that's the sense I get from online conversations a lot of the time.
I feel like some people have fallen into this trap of believing that for a story to be good, many crazy things must happen. But you can make really mundane-sounding things interesting through good character work/setting.
12 Angry Men is a great classic example of this. It's just guys arguing!
The one that came out on the 360 is The Last Hope, and it is not only the worst one, but also kinda led to the series going dormant for a while.
That's why I said that, not because I have any aversion to the 360 or anything
