"The things happening in Gaza are also horrific and unnecessary and cruel. We're lucky to have loons as neighbours, and I agree completely: these are agitated, alarmed loons, perhaps in part because their chick is still too young to fly from the threat. Loons--particularly parenting loons--deserve our distance.
