The most important reason to learn some statistics is to defend your tribe from enemy statisticians

I never genre-matched you to postrat tho, not enough egregore-posting
postrats are mops iff they weren't rats first
Giving feedback on a PDD: "You realize none of this will be true by the time you get to launch, right?"
OSS generative AI is having tons of fun, but pity the poor productizers trying to bring each new capability to market in the 2 month window between it being novel and obsolete
Worked through it and... approx ~0.
Help someone presented a sensitivity analysis to argue it was unlikely that their results were all due to confounding and I'm not sure how much evidence to give to it
I've met these guys, they're great
Being anon never sat well with me. I mostly stayed anon because all my discord friends are.

My brother is right now working in forestry near Christchurch :)
Didn't grow up here. I moved in ~8 years ago from New Zealand. NZ is kinda similar to the PNW though!
I'm in Kirkland

Which bit aha
If its my upbringing it's probably weirder than you expect. My dad kind of gradually built up our farm from nothing in the forest. I still remember washing clothes by hand, going into the forest for bathroom, etc.
Grew up off-grid, farming in rural New Zealand
Discovered a love of programming that took me the US, where mostly I've worked on data visualization for Microsoft Excel, and now analytics platforms in Google Cloud.
Love hiking, gardening.
I've read most everything by Scott A, Moldbug, Yud, etc.
One of the relatives is the drummer~

Still, I scroll up and down on the Blue Sky Mine
There'll be follows in your pocket tonight🎶
Where do I find this
Wait what I'm PNW too
Why are we all here, why now
I moved to the USA and it just started piling up around me
My little one is determined to never experience it. He falls asleep instantly when I zip up his outdoors onesie
