The NHL ruled Jordan Staal *did not* have possession of the puck while entering the zone. We've gone from black-and-white offside ruling to subjective. That's tough for Carolina.

Hockey needs to go to the clear and obvious error rule because no way Staal clearly and obviously failed to possess the puck he clearly possessed.

I would really like someone with more knowledge than me about the offside rule to explain how Staal didn’t have possession of that puck
