It's the 30th anniversary of the best game of all time and digital namesake, #ChronoTrigger. It solidified my love of video games and expanded my perspective of them as art form for the emotions they can evoke. This scene that I cos'ed was that Trigger moment.

Played some Monster Hunter Wilds this weekend and quickly got back into the rhythm!

I see another 200+ hours being handed over to the game again as I did with World. The game loop of hunt, craft /improve weapons, hunt new monster, repeat is just so satisfying to me

It just doesn't seem possible to make an new MMO in the current industry conditions. The amount of money and dev time invested to create something at least on part with existing games and then turn profit fast enough to justify it's existence to satisfy the money men... would be enormous

2024 is roughly 600 layoffs away from doubling 2023. There is still plenty of business days left in the month.
