Danielle Smith claims to care about youth unemployment, but it’s risen sharply since she became premier.
Smith and the UCP government have also shot down every proposal we’ve made to reduce youth unemployment. They’d rather focus on rigging the next election than actually solving the problems Albertans face every day.
This is happening on Saturday. Sign up if you can!
The independent Boundaries Commission consulted with thousands of Albertans before publishing its report.
Ignoring the report is cheating.
Ignoring the report is gerrymandering.
Today, Danielle Smith and the UCP caucus unveiled plans to rig the next election:
A new motion indicates the UCP's plans to manipulate the election maps for the next election in their favour, and without any requirement to consult the public.
This has never been done in Canadian history. /1

Albertans need relief at the pumps. It's why we're calling on the government to remove the provincial gas tax.
That’s 13 cents per litre, or $300+ a year for the average family.
This simple measure would provide relief for businesses, in agriculture, truckers, and anyone who commutes by car.
Happy Vaisakhi! Best wishes to Alberta’s Sikh community and to all who celebrate this important day across the world.
An independent commission did its job and delivered fair electoral maps.
But Danielle Smith and the UCP want to ignore them and redraw the map.
They think they need to cheat to win.
The government should accept those maps, without question.
Don’t let them take your vote and your voice.
We've released an energy plan that invests in Alberta's energy sector.

What Alberta needs right now is stability.
Happy Spring! I hope that everyone celebrating today is having a Happy Easter Monday!
I wish everyone who is celebrating a joyful Easter today. This is a time to reflect on the positive possibilities that lie ahead and to celebrate the hope and opportunities that are ahead of us. May the spirit of Easter bring comfort, peace, and renewed energy to you, your family, and your friends.
Thank you to the Child Advocacy Society of the University of Alberta for inviting me to present at their seminar.
My presentation focused on preventing child abuse in Alberta.
These are difficult conversations, but they are needed to bring awareness to the issue.
I extend my thoughts to all who are observing Good Friday today. It is a meaningful day for reflection about sacrifice, humility, and grace. May the significance of this day deepen your faith and renew hope for brighter days ahead.
We need a government that respects teachers and treats them as the professionals they are.
Bill 25 is unnecessary, insulting, and only adds more work with no new support.

Farmers across Alberta are facing growing challenges from Richardson Ground Squirrel infestations, impacting crops, infrastructure, and even safety.
I’m pushing for real solutions, including better control tools, stronger federal advocacy, and expanded support for producers.
Today, my staff and I delivered spring lilies and met with first responders and community leaders in Edmonton-Manning. Thank you to Kuhlmann's Greenhouse Garden Market for the beautiful flowers.
Bad priorities. Wasteful spending. Massive tax hikes.
A $9B deficit during a boom.
We've got to ask: Where'd the money go?
🔴 WATCH LIVE as Shadow Minister for Hospital and Surgical Facilities Sarah Hoffman and Shadow Minister for Primary and Preventative Health Services Sharif Haji call out the UCP for failing cancer patients in Alberta.
Bill 206, the Accessible Alberta Act, allows us to move away from patchwork legislation to hope and dignity for all Albertans.
We cannot leave this opportunity on the table.

Bill 206, the Accessible Alberta Act, has been years in the making, with @marierenaud.bsky.social leading the way.
It brings us in line with almost every other province in Canada, and ensures that EVERY Albertan can fully participate in life with dignity.
Eid Mubarak! 🌙
Alberta’s farmers are at the heart of our economy and our communities. It was great spending time with canola leaders and hearing directly from the people who keep this province growing.
