Ní neart go cur le chéile - we're stronger together. As charity organisations we often want to differentiate ourselves from other charities, but as a sector we can work together, and work together with policy makers, to support a stronger society. #charitysummit

And Minister for Community at @deptrcd.bsky.social Jerry Buttimer reminds us that 10 years ago the third sector supported Ireland to break down barriers and bring about marriage equality - we've a critical role in continuing to support stronger and more equal communities #charitysummit

This is really quite something. In public transport world getting improvements of a few percent here and there is the norm - improvements of 25-30% on journey times and 25% on passenger numbers is pretty massive. Dublin is really taking strides on making transport fit for the public!
Which window did you take that out of Emma? Looks a bit different out of my window the other side of Camden St!
Ooh! Look who it is!
@deptrcd.bsky.social fund the core part of volunteer centres' work, and without them there Ireland wouldn't be in the unique position of having a nationwide network of centrally funded centres supporting volunteering.
And we're here telling people about how those who #DoGoodInDublin can use our #CommunityVolunteers service to provide volunteer support to events across the city. If you're running a non-profit event we can not only provide the helping hands but also manage the volunteer team.
There's lots of people who #DoGoodInDublin here tonight at the Dublin City PPN Plenary. The Public Participation Network allows groups to network and access training in order to be able to shape public policy across Dublin.

What's with this symbol here? It's started appearing in my notifications on my #Pixel 8 Pro since updating to #Android 15. Only for certain apps, but it's like the phone has forgotten which icon is supposed to go with those apps' notifications.
@dccbeta.bsky.social are working on some innovative projects to support better active travel in Dublin
And if you want to #DoGoodInDublin from the comfort of your own home, how about taking part in the National Garden Bird Survey? By taking part you’re helping provide important information on how our bird populations are faring during the harsh winter months each year.

Our first break in! Didn't want to post about it earlier until I'd confirmed there wasn't a benign reason for the broken sink... and the grate ripped out of the wall... and the money missing from the till...
🙃 but support would be appreciated right now!

You can help them by new books or help fund trans people in need, or indeed both. Both is good.

In Dublin City Centre tonight? Don’t be shocked if you happen to see a giant 20 metre newt meandering about the place.
Created by Macnas, the giant puppet (named Alf) will appear on Capel Street at 7.30pm this evening.
Alf will then wind his way south over the Liffey, ending up at Dublin Castle.
Text overlaying the image says "On the lookout, for a cookout?" The image itself shows a group of 4 people, grouped around a public cooktop in a park. One of them is cooking sausages, burgers and onions on the cooking surface.
This trial is currently live!
Please let us know what you think? #CooktopBETA
Many people do not have the space or permission to socially gather or have a barbecue at their home.
Would the addition of public, electric, cooktops to our parks or beaches be a good idea?
