He had a huge impact on public life in Canada for many years. I miss the days when politicians conducted themselves with the integrity, passion, respect, intellect and gravitas that he possessed. RIP to one of the great ones.

Canadian here. I’ve visited a few big US cities, some several times: NY, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, SF, and many smaller ones. I’ve never felt unsafe walking around or going to dinner. But I would certainly feel unsafe crossing the border now, and so no more. Cdns know where the tyranny lies.
