Thank you for introducing me to my new favorite puzzle!
“believe in the me that believes in you”
Yeah the distribution and abstraction of wealth away from anyone actually doing the work is almost cartoonish at this point. When people tell me they want to get IN to games because it looks more stable than their industry I'm like 😱
Another example that's not Gen-AI:
If you want to see actual placeholder art:
If you were someone pinging critics with ‘it’s just lighting cleanup’ a few days ago, I need you to use this as a jumping off point to thinking about your susceptibility to talking points and marketing rhetoric more generally. It was right there in front of all of our faces.
A 3 by 3 grid of games: bombrush cyberfunk, absolum, cinicross, fretless, ball x pitt, the king is watching, marvel cosmic invasion, the seance of blake manor, and the farmer was replaced
Steam Spring Sale Haul
Eid Mubarak to you too
if only games with some kind of paper pamphlet that explained the mechanics and rules which you could peruse at your leisure
And damn if this doesn’t describe my current feelings about where my work exists inside the media ecosystem
A close up of a face done in anime style, biting their lip
You deserve all the acclaim!
This is when you press the one you want to select a million times, just to make sure.
I'll check it out!
Thanks for an amazing demo!
10 - Scott Pilgrim EX - Another hit by Tribute Games. So many co-op beat-em-ups released recently - store.steampowered.com/app/2640950/...
9 - Wanderburg - I loved driving around my castle and attacking the fields, though it was more difficult than I imagined - store.steampowered.com/app/4268810/...
8 - Antivirus Survivors - This one took me back to the time of Windows XP, keygens, etc. Good Survivors like store.steampowered.com/app/4320630/...
7 - Denshattack - Very arcade-y and fast gameplay, when you make mistakes and get off the rails, it lets you start from a previous checkpoint rather than making you repeat the full track, love the art style and music - store.steampowered.com/app/4142750/...
6 - The Dungeon Experience - All I will say is that the saxophone performance section is the best thing I've experienced in video games - store.steampowered.com/app/994680/T...
5 - Rune Dice - The merge samesies gameplay is much more fun than I thought it'd be, it's really fun to watch the dice jump around - store.steampowered.com/app/3989510/...
4 - Wax Heads - I loved searching for the perfect vinyl, it's like High Fidelity & Empire Records, except all the characters are actually nice - store.steampowered.com/app/2950480/...
3 - Titanium Court - Match 3 game with fantastic narration, it made me laugh a lot - store.steampowered.com/app/4210280/...
2 - Lelu - I've been playing a lot of Pipistrello lately, and this one scratches that same itch, great puzzles, fun environment, addicting - store.steampowered.com/app/3131340/...
1 - All Will Rise - A courtroom narrative game about holding billionaires responsible, intriguing concept, fantastic dialogue and characters - store.steampowered.com/app/3165340/...
This is probably one of the best Steam Next Fest I've seen so far. So many good games, but for some reason Steam's recommendation system is failing me. None of the games I've loved showed up in the main page, I had to dig through. Anyways, here are some recommendations:
The saxophone performance made this an insta-buy, beautiful game, thank you for making it!

A fabricated statement from Nintendo of America's Twitter account addressing a fictitious scenario in which the Earth's oxygen supply is presumed to be depleting at a rapid pace, leaving humanity with mere days to live. "This is Miyamoto. On behalf of everyone who is employed at Nintendo Co. LTD and its subsidiaries, we deeply mourn the countless human lives which will be lost due to the depletion of the global oxygen supply. To anyone who has ever played one of our games, we are eternally grateful to have created long-lasting fun and memories for you. To ease the suffering of families and children across the world, the Mario Kart World game for the Nintendo Switch 2 system will be available as a free download on Nintendo eShop for the foreseeable future. We hope this small gesture of kindness will ease the pain as humanity prepares for a worst-case scenario." The statement is distastefully plastered with logos for Nintendo and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as with a render of Mario from Mario Kart World.
A fabricated Twitter thread responding to the fabricated Nintendo statement. John Default Profile Picture: "No one read this statement and thought it was distasteful? Why did Miyamoto think this would help anyone?" NintenDeen: "Simple: Nintendo is so depraved that they'd exploit a global crisis to boost the player count of the failed Mario Kart World and force consumers back into the Switch 2 ecosystem to boost sales and player numbers."
A fabricated Twitter thread responding to the fabricated Nintendo statement. PlayStation Nation: "What the fuck are you doing falsely advertising sales during these trying times? I went to the website and Mario Kart World is still selling for $80 USD." Kremling Kevin: "If you actually read the statement, it clearly says the discount is available on Nintendo eShop. Meaning the application on the Switch 2 itself, not the web browser version." PlayStation Nation: "Point still stands."
A fabricated Tweet responding to the fabricated Nintendo statement. Isaboner: "Nothing for Switch 1 owners?"
Had a dream that there was global panic about the world running out of oxygen, Nintendo was the only video game company to make a statement about it, and the internet collectively spent its final hours on Earth debating whether Nintendo was being genuine or not
