With that out of the way, here’s the cast of our first entry in the project—SONIC ADVENTURE 2 REDUB: A BETTER DAY

The goal is to build on the potential of what was established in these games and open fans up to new ideas on the franchise could be, including ones that dont align with the official canon-not made with spite for the original, but as a love letter to what we love about these characters and stories.

The Redub Project started as a mod for Sonic Adventure 2 aiming to be an alternate and fresh take on SA2’s English dub and story, fixing jank, characters cutting into each other, etc. and overall a new campaign experience containing a rewritten and relocalized script that is closer to the Japanese version, but also aims to improve issues like plot holes and enhancing emotional peaks and voice direction (and also making sure characters don’t constantly cut into each other) It also features complete lip syncing, minor cutscene animation fixes and its own voice cast. We originally intended to just do this mod and have it be done, but we now intend to go on modding other Sonic games in the future after this one, starting with Sonic Adventure DX. We don’t aim to “fix” SA2 or approach it with a mindset of being “better” than the original, we simply want to create something new that people can enjoy and get a new experience from as they replay SA2’s campaign! After that, we plan to make mods for the series following the continuity of our rewrite—spanning through most of the games, giving a new experience of their stories!

Redub takes Sonic and reimagines his story (rewritten scripts, reanimated cutscenes, our own cast, a new take on the continuity, lore and characterization in the series, etc.) to give a new campaign experience for the game that encourages people to replay their favorite stories again in a new way!

Alright since the six month anniversary is tomorrow and we haven’t finished the trailer I’ll give you guys the cast reveal for SA2 Redub instead
