😂 My condolences. For some it's still a delicacy.

Afval (tripe) potjie (pot). Basically sheep stomach stew. Some tripe is pretty good actually (like oxtail, shanks, tongue etc.). But there is nothing like being in the house while my mom cooked sheep stomach in preparation to make this stew variant. Smelled so bad..🤢

Holy moly! This is BIG news for folks in #Lesotho and #SouthAfrica.

#Passports will no longer be needed for #border crossing--only National IDs. And you will not have to stop to stamp on both sides!

Also an amnesty for #Basotho who have overstayed.

So much here that ppl have been pushing for!

We are looking at a painting of St Liphardus - a 6th-century lawyer, hermit and abbot in Meung-sur-Loire near Orléans, France. He is wearing bishops clothing including a surplus and mitre and is holding a crook. On a lead is a small knee high green and blue dragon.

We’re very sorry sir but you cannot bring your emotional support dragon in here.

Found this guy yesterday on the lawn. It's the size and thickness of one of my fingers. Also is turns into a pretty metal moth (Death's Head hawkmoth). But you'll have to click on the wiki link to see how it looks like. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acheron...

'We must become less reliant on American tools': Windows 11 is so bad the French government is switching to Linux — and Microsoft should be worried Is 2027 set to be the year of Linux? There are signs that this might actually be the case, this time.

This article is weird. France isn't switching to Linux because Windows is bad - it's switching because Microsoft is a US company, US companies fall under US law, and thus simply cannot be trusted with EU data. Windows can't "solve" this. There's no "fix" here.

There is nothing like reading a well written board game rulebook. Most of the time you just suffer through it. But dang, is it pleasant when you find one that works. Is it a skill to parse rulebooks? Sure. But its so helpful to have one that works and makes my life easier when I need to teach it.

I have seen some ones with serious security here in South Africa. I was wondering if that just being prepared for the coming public backlash, but I guess this makes more sense.
