Overall, it was a great time. Such a blast of nostalgia, and it felt fun to bridge that childhood experience gap. And now I can say I’ve actually finished the first RPG I ever played as a kid. ☺️

I collected the necessary items and made it to the Dragonlord’s castle. I found my ancestor’s gear. I felt powerful. I managed to make it to the Dragonlord and promptly lost. He’s a tough one.
I did some grinding and was able to complete the game. The little parade of sorts is pretty cool.
Progress continued. The 2x patch shortened the grind, but it was still there. It served as a nice way to shut my brain off and just zen for a bit.
Eventually I got to a town and some monsters I recognized from the other save. Neat! I had bridged the gap between my kid mind and my present mind.
The beginning of the game was familiar. With the enhancements, I was able to move forward pretty quickly. Then I got to new things. Things in between where I left off as a kid and wherever that other save was, toward the end. New caves, new monsters. New towns, new items. It was fun.
Recently, I emulated this game on my Steam Deck. I knew the grind was notorious, so I chose to use a 2x exp and gold patch. No other modifications. I did take advantage of the fast forward functionality sometimes too.
I’d visit the shops and see gear costing thousands. How?? I’d fight enemies and be doing 30 damage. Attacks I’d never seen before. It was like a whole new game. My child mind was in awe.
As a kid, I owned this game. So did my dad’s friend. I played it, but never got very far. When we’d visit the friend, sometimes I had a chance to play. That save file was toward the end. Over 100 HP and MP, gobs of money, equipment I hadn’t seen before.
This is Dragon Warrior 1 for the NES. I’d like to tell you a short story about it.
Exact same for me! Did you ever mess with the scenarios that came with Civ 2 Gold? I still play through the aliens one like once a year. 😂
Love this game. What are some of the things you enjoy most about it?
Hey. What do you need?
Sickening.
Prosecute ICE. All of them.
Oh neat! I’ll check it out. ☺️
What are you using? I don’t use my PC much anymore, but I was thinking of switching over to Bazzite. Not sure though cuz I also use it for Plex and various other normal crap like browsing or office or photo/video crap.
A humidifier on the sink in front of a bathroom mirror. The combination of small "on" and "full" lights above a wide curved vent make a pleasant smiling face and on the back of the humidifier, which can be seen in the mirror, another wide curved air vent and the two screws holding it together above it make a horrified face.

@schumer.senate.gov You think they’ll go along with it because it’s common sense. Sure, Chuck. Think of all the actions this administration has taken that are decidedly *not* common sense. There are too many to count. Why would they go along with this one?
Why do you want DHS funded anyway?
ICE is still here in MN. Lots of them. Still terrorizing people, still kidnapping them, still harassing observers. It’s not over. Stay vigilant.
Abolish ICE and destroy the DHS.
I will believe the ICE surge in MN is over when I see it and feel it. Or don’t see it, as it were. Who knows how long it will take?
They’re still all over the place. Today is February 13th.
I missed this article, but this is good news from yesterday 02/12: minnesotareformer.com/2026/02/12/f...
The problem with just advocating for ICE to leave Minnesota but not to dismantle it entirely is that they are capable of doing this again, any time, anywhere.
Don’t advocate for the harm to continue elsewhere. Advocate for the harm to end everywhere forever.
ICE and DHS cannot be reformed.
ICE and DHS must be destroyed.
The protesters in Minnesota and the around the country have shown incredible strength, courage and love for their fellow Americans. And so far, they are not taking the bait ICE is throwing their way. These are the kind of heroes and patriots this country needs.
What reforms, @rosen.senate.gov? What would they look like? How would you ensure any reforms are enforced? What do the consequences look like? What’s the mechanism for enforcing those consequences?
I do not believe reforms are the answer, but you do. Explain it to us.
Hey Mike. It’s a constitutional right. Hope this helps, since I know you haven’t actually read it.
@ramirez.house.gov thank you for telling the clear, no nonsense truth about DHS. I see it, and I appreciate you.
Hennepin County Sheriff’s office now cooperating with ICE. We’ve sighted them doing it. Looks like they got to Witt.
Fuck.
Uncaging Nicolas is a TTRPG that’s easy on the rules. You play as one of 8 pre-made Nic Cages or make your own. Your goal? Uncage the real Nic Cage, who is lost somewhere in the cinematic universe of Nic Cage films. jesthehuman.itch.io/uncaging-nic...
