Its kind of bizarre that no one ever talks about how the US federal government operates like a crack house. They haven't passed a budget in years. They operate on continuing resolutions to agree to pay their expenses that have already been spent. Then agreeing to continue spending.

It is kind of remarkable. The 70s seemed like an interesting time where corruption and mismanagement lead to major policy changes. To think that Congress can even keep the lights on two months at a time is amazing.
