Globular Cluster M5 observed with the Moses Holden Telescope at the University of Lancashire's Alston Observatory.

Quick picture of the globular cluster M5 observed with the MHT at Alston Observatory last night. It is located over 24,000 light years away, and is over 10 billion years old.

Working to harm your own country at the direction and for the benefit of another is treason by the plain meaning of the word, whether you are in a declared war against that country or not.

The limitations imposed by the founders have more to do with their situation than a sensible definition.

Good thing Humans running long enough to outlast things is one of our superpowers.

Presumably it also provides more manufacturing capacity that is out of reach of Russia.

In this case it seems to be insulation that is only used during launches in the colder months.

I don’t think this fuel is cryogenic so it shouldn’t be ice.

Usually. The fuel is typically cryogenic, and so it cools the body of the rocket enough that condensation freezes on the outside.

What I don’t understand is why it was on the payload at the top. That wouldn’t be cooled.

Nah it’s simpler than that. They have to keep it going until SpaceX and OpenAI/Anthropic etc IPO and they can pass a $3 trillion bag of the smelliest garbage from private credit to the public.

Got a pension or are invested in an index fund? You are the mark.

To distract from having to answer an uncomfortable question presumably.

We are discussing the policy decisions of the Russian state thanks. Let’s keep the focus there.

So does the current Russian state treat its own soldiers far more brutally than equivalent western states?

The real problem is that he will prevent any new developments for the duration of his term.

You’d be crazy to propose a new development now.

He isn’t wrong about how Russia treats its own troops.

Possibly for high end components. Though that is changing. It’s not like there aren’t companies capable of producing anything necessary.

It’s a good faith question.

Please tell me the sum total of your efforts to change the rotten system isn’t just not voting and complaining on the internet.

Good time to be a European arms manufacturer.

Just make sure you have your Ticket to Heaven.

Of course. I find a lot of people on here who say they won’t vote for either of the two parties because the system is rotten.

I haven’t met one yet who is doing anything practical to change it.

Fine.

So what are you doing to change the system?

1 week ago 1 0 1 0

Whereas putting Trump in power is of course going to make everything better.

What are you actually doing to get that change?

1 week ago 2 0 1 0

While you doing exactly what to change the system?

If it’s just virtue posting on the internet no one is going to be impressed.

Sounds like things aren’t going very well for Putin.

Time to put on another shift at each factory…

I’m glad you are able to use the proper terminology.

Our media lot wouldn’t even allow me to acknowledge him by name in a written response to a question.

Friend. You keep claiming I know nothing while being unable to point out a flaw in my arguments.

You are meant to be the expert in this topic remember. It’s telling you haven’t been able to correct a single error of mine.

It’s almost like you just have to reflexively defend Putin.

Why is Europes support going to disappear?

They also have gulf countries lining up to pay them and manufacture drones for them…

You think they haven’t bombed the targets in the Donbas they want to?

😂😂😂

You serfs are hilarious.

Usually this argument is couched as “shouldn’t we spend the money curing hunger/cancer first?”

If you really want to do that shouldn’t you be proposing cancelling the NFL (~same yearly income as NASA) or professional sport in general/or all movies (vastly more revenue than NASA)?

lol. Claims to be an expert and rolls out this canard.

So you believe coal is going to be an important resource in the coming decades?

Or you believe that Ukraine can’t destroy anything they want within a few dozen miles of the border?

Go on, which statement is incorrect?

What you mean is, you don’t like the implications for Russia and your master.
