Reduces confusion on which platform to use for SFO at Daly City, probably. Since you won't have to figure out which platform to use due to both in service tracks being on the island platform (the other platform being alighting only means nobody needs to go up there to board a train)

The more concrete-y ones (like the light green ones in the back) are public/ subsidized government housing. The more glossy glass covered ones are private development, perhaps owned by the MTR (although in this case, it seems to be a private developer New World Development & Swire Group)

Ok the thing about the Philz Coffee Pride flag thing is that it genuinely feels like a horrible business decision lmfao. Surely a Pride Flag ban is going to go over well in *checks notes* urban California and Chicago, where they operate.

Dare I say this design was better than even the iPhone 5C (also remember when vibrant colors used to be a thing?)

I loved my fun little red Nokia Lumia 520 qwq
Incredible little phone that looked smart, felt high quality even with the polycarbonate plastic back, survived countless drops, and ran probably the smoothest OS at the time

Meanwhile on the Windows side, it's been even more abysmal. The Surface Laptop Go series has always been a bit overpriced, with the core i5 version at $700 (and later even $800!). We don't talk about the flop that was the Surface Go with the Celeron/ m3 chips either.

Been thinking about the MacBook Neo laptop market sector and realizing that well-built laptops have existed in this price range before but they've been inconsistent and typically underpowered. Like the Pixelbook Go from 2019 was $599 but it had Intel Core M chips. 1/2

Anti-trans hatred is the very lifeblood of 21st century fascism and we need everyone to wake up to this simple truth before it's too late.

Holy shit ElDorado just landed a big SEPTA order. New hybrid ENC Axess buses to replace the old New Flyers in Philadelphia. Hoping this solidifies their position as the #3 transit bus manufacturer in the US after the departure of Novabus from the market.

Clipper 2.0 Is Still Seeing Hourslong Outages, and a Full Fix Is Months Away | KQED The company running the Bay Area’s next-generation transit fare payment system revealed the depth of its ongoing issues, leaving transit officials preparing for increased costs.

Less than 10% of cards have been upgraded to Clipper 2, there have been many outages leading to lost revenue for transit agencies and frustrated riders, and it will be months until the system is fixed.

MTC must hold Cubic accountable.

Huge thanks to @azul415.bsky.social for staying on this story!

Apple silicon and ARM architecture is amazing, Windows laptops are so crappy by comparison 😭
I hope Windows on ARM can change that but based on the current trajectory, that's a helluva uphill battle... The Snapdragon X Elite just ain't that impressive?

The MacBook Neo is my first real mac experience in over 15 years and I might be hooked tbh.
- I never need to power it off, it's just on standby like a phone
- Safari hasn't needed to reload tabs nearly as often as Edge
- 30w charging speed means even my phone charger is adequate
