Playing a downloaded songs outside a playlist or album only plays it once for now

In the 10.11 release of @jellyfin.org there are some performance issues that make it hard to complete a full sync since the requests are timing out as we fetch all metadata.

The team is working on improving this, you can follow progress over on Github. Hopefully a fix is not too far out 🙏

Widgets would be cool! I'm soon done with the next release so I'll start planning out future releases after that, maybe widgets will get on there but we'll have to see 😊

Adding to playlists have been fixed in the upcoming version, so it should the not to distant future I hope 🤞

I don't think it's possible for Alexa to integrate with the Siri that way, so I don't think that's possible.

I really want to make a watchOS version, but right now I have some other things I need to get done first 😅

Yes, it caches songs you've played so if you were to play them again you wouldn't have to use data for it. You can clear it in Settings -> Offline. 😊

No immediate plans, I'm planning on trying to do a rework of download management on iOS next, but I like the idea of the mini player so I'll make a note of it and might consider it in the future 😊

Hiya! You can set "Download quality" in the Media quality settings, and that's what it'll use for downloads. So if your media doesn't match the requirement, Manet will ask for a transcoded version when fetching it.

I left Reddit since it ended up being a place where I got stuck watching cat videos, so I've tried to step away from it. Most people find me on Bluesky/Mastodon to report things anyways, and that works better for me 😄

Thanks for the screenshots! I think the immersive mode of the album art seems like a nice addition, I'll make some notes from these images and see if I can take some inspiration from it in the future 😄

There are no plans on switching away from the subscription model.

It depends! Manet currently doesn’t download album art for downloads, so if you don’t have an Internet connection while in the car, and haven’t view the album art in the app previously so they aren’t cached, then they’d be blank 😅 reorganizing downloads is on my todo list!

Hi 👋 the app streams FLAC when quality settings allow it and the media is in FLAC. I might look into Dolby Atmos sometime this autumn but we’ll see, lots of other things planned already 🙏

That's a great suggestion! Right now I only check for lyrics when you open the Now Playing view, but would be nice to have it downloaded alongside the track. I'll add it to my backlog 🙌
