samuel beckett was born on this day 120 years ago. astonishing to think that if he had survived, and could run 100m in 9.57 seconds, he would be not only the oldest but also the fastest man in the world - together with his nobel prize for literature, an astonishing trifecta

Do my fellow #scriptsky horror fiends know about the Tubi x Black List Horror initiative?
If you have a horror script that's ready-- go for it!
The deadline is 6/1, but there are 100 fee waivers available, so if you need the extra support don't wait too long.
Beautiful area, close to Bull Shoals Lake. Arkansas is a special place!

I agree but regardless of what we call them I've seen many espousing rules that if strictly followed would leave even less room for creative interpretation.
So many beloved screenplays break "rules" like this. "Show, don't tell" should be a tool, not a cage. IMO go ahead and say your character "seems hesitant." Writing it out with pure body language or whatever is a waste of space and kills your pace. Thoughts? #scriptsky www.reddit.com/r/Screenwrit...
Musk and Bezos? Not Jews.
Why do I have to pretend that I'm going to print something in order to save it as a PDF. Why do I have to engage in a little ruse.

From my own niche: institutions of higher education should stop chasing trends, work internally to assert a set of values, and then build curriculum around those values.
Good observations. And no "speeds and feeds" whatsoever. Familiar use cases, warmly portrayed.
A girl with blonde hair and a face painted to look like a cat or possibly Minnie Mouse, makes a wild expression, while wearing a red and white polka dot bow in her hair and bowtie around her neck
Not food related, but I just wanted to note that no horror movie has or will ever scare me as much as the cover of the Klutz Face Painting book did in 1992
It's a shame because there are so many good stories to tell. The Galveston Movement, for one. Pat Conroy has written about us in books like Beach Music, but that never got the movie treatment. My people came through NC and TX.
Ten percent of Gazans have been killed or wounded — mostly women, children, & the elderly.
The U.S. has sent $22 billion taxpayer dollars to facilitate Netanyahu's slaughter.
This ceasefire must hold, the hostages must be freed, aid must flow and this horrific war must end.

Yeah, I hear you. Been the same irreverent tone for 27 seasons though. I’m sure there’s some spillover in the same way weirdos idolize Gordon Gecko. But on balance, I’m glad SP exists. YMMV!
I mean Cartman is supposed to be a terrible person, like it’s fundamental to the character. That’s the kind of thing a terrible person would say. So I don’t think the creators, who are themselves part Jewish, are endorsing his bullshit by any stretch.
Thank you for this, Brendan.
Jonathan Greenblatt has the moral courage of the Uvalde police department, the values of Stephen Miller and the same conception of American Jews as Netanyahu.
He does not represent American Jews.

One of the big problems facing anyone who would like to protest the Trump administration is there isn’t much, on a local level, to point your protests at. If I want to resist, who specifically am I resisting AT? Loading city streets with federal cops neatly solves this problem.
Daughter asked me what trophy hunting is (came up in a wildlife doc), so I was trying to show her a stuffed lion and...what the fuck?
