Don't be afraid! Terminal is a friend - one that takes everything literally and will jump off a cliff if you tell them to, but a friend nonetheless. 😆

Sadly, I won't be much help. I've run both on Linux and Windows, but not Mac. The built-in Photos app is powerful enough for me so I never bothered.
