I think perspectives on this may vary based on whether or not people had kids at the time. I remember going to meetings online where some colleagues were thriving on virtual yoga and baking, and those of us with kids had been up since 4 putting in a half-day of work before kids needed homeschool.
This was so much of the COVID line — “only unhealthy people are dying” — and sounds entirely persuasive.
I had a close friend who had severe scarring from chicken pox and it did a number on her when we were teens.
Goodfella.
He is Cal Hockley in Titanic sneering, “not the better half.”
It’s not free for him. It makes him money.
That academic was not me, I tell you what.
I mean, public schools are sitting right there.
No no, extra fingers are a sure sign the drawing is AI.
It is circular now. Because these exist if your kid is sports oriented the rec teams aren’t challenging.
I am on a scrapbooking message board site and the women there post things from her regularly. I am always surprised she doesn’t have a bigger mass media profile.
We’re not disagreeing, I don’t think. My point is I don’t think they don’t talk to trans parents because they hate us.
I get your point but there are tons of us out here who are what I would describe as “completely legible to NYT reporters” such that I refused to believe these people don’t people in their orbit with trans kids.

My mother was really into this conceptually but was not exactly a cook.
Literally yelled here.
Cats are such graceful, majestic creatures.
I made it 15 minutes and switched it off.
Like a lot of us I have my students fill out bios before class starts. I have my 1Ls as their last question tell me their walk-out song, and my music-nerd kid #2 and I listen to the songs the night before class starts. It’s a fun weird house tradition!
My youngest just tried to insult me by reminding me of how cringe it is to be an elder millennial like me but my child I was born in 1972.
This is too real.

You can’t swing a cat here without sending it down one of those slides and I live in big bad Seattle.
With the caveat that I am not 100% sure because I didn’t meet either, one was a truck mechanic and the other was a farm worker who started driving trucks eventually.
I don’t know how much spine it takes to stand up when you are confident of success.
I follow a cheese tiktok account and my favorite series is “unhinged pairings,” where she finds the best cheese pairings for gummy bears or oreos. Even hinged cheese pairings would be great.
