Honestly, as a general PSA, when SA allegations come out against a person in power and you ask the question, “Why didn’t [they] come forward sooner?” in any of its forms, the fact that you are asking that question should also serve as the answer to it.
If in 2026, you are STILL saying 'why didn't X survivor/victim of sexual assault go to the cops or prosecutors?' then you cannot be trusted to drive a car or live by yourself because you are ignorant.

The earnestness of the dialogue matched the earnestness of every actor on screen, and that definitely is what made the movie work when it maybe should have and could have fallen apart.
This convo made me realize so many things, not the least of which being when actors really commit to what could be a “bad” movie, it’s can make it wildly amazing and fun. I don’t think Gary Oldman ever does anything half-ass, and Chris Tucker absolutely ate up the scenery the second he appeared.
