💥🇭🇺🗳️ BREAKING: Péter Magyar says Viktor Orbán called to concede and congratulate him.

Magyar will be Hungary’s next prime minister and, as it stands, is set to secure a 2/3 supermajority – enough to fully dismantle Orbán’s system.

A 16-year chapter is over.

By god , that’s one worth trying next time! Ah sure , it’s all part of the spring season 🤣

Exactly. I cant think of any credible farmer (during Spring) , burning a few tanks of (very expensive ) diesel to saunter up the motorway and block up half the bloody national road network .

I just don’t get it. I spent most of the day today doing work on the farm , trying to get a damn stubborn calf to drink from a bucket . I don’t get how these ‘farmers’ have the time to clog up half the country .

I would add though , that there is always a minority that just don’t give a damn about any poor on thought action , but alas they are to be found in every walk of life

Although it is appears Negligible, farmers are restricted by the inflexible closed season for slurry spreading. Many farmers feel pushed to spread in wetter weather during the spreading season, when often the most optimal conditions are on days that are during the restricted season. It’s a catch 22.

Using the phrase “I can’t , there’s a cow in for calving “ to avoid attending unwanted social or business related meetings .

My favourite is Limerick Junction (Ireland ) , which isn’t in the county Limerick atall . Many an unsuspecting novice have disappeared trying to make a connector train , never to be seen again 👀

Video

This is a ten minute video broken up into parts for Bluesky from two australian doctors who made it into Gaza. The video starts with them saying the baby formula they brought with them was taken away and that Israel bombing the hospital in front of them and lying about giving warnings

A stone intricately carved with a circular labyrinth or maze

A medieval labyrinth from Rathmore, Meath.

In medieval Christian Europe, labyrinths were often symbols of pilgrimage.

Though the parish church at Rathmore may not be a site of pilgrimage itself, the stone may commemorate the journey of one of the Cruise family, who were key patrons of the church.

All I can remember from my time in Secondary school is the term “acceleration is the rate of change of velocity “. It’s imprinted in my brain somewhere along with Ár nAthair and the words to bohemian rhapsody . A strange mix indeed 😵‍💫

There is no greater pleasure than falling asleep mid page during a bout of night time reading. on many occasions I’ve drifted off ,only to be awakened by the loud thud of a novel on the floor. If it’s a particularly dry read , I always line up some popular fiction to give the mind a break .

Patrick Freyne: Returning home from Chad, I feel there’s a glitch in western empathy The Sudan war is the world’s biggest humanitarian disaster, but it seems our human compassion is taken up by other conflicts

The way the algorithms keep us hemmed into a handful of news stories has really been bothering me recently www.irishtimes.com/opinion/2025...

Upside down sign that says 'From another point of view'.

Just to say, if like me your feed is alot of US politics to the exclusion of UK/Ireland accounts, then reposting content you like - even if it's just the picture of a beach - rather than just liking it, really works. My feed has improved (along with some judicious muting) immeasurably.

At this stage ,my house is structurally supported by various piles of literary fiction . It is now hard to tell if there was ever floor space beneath … great insulation all the same haha
