Oh, bpost is on strike? That might explain why my parcel from Brussels has been stuck in "Preparation" since Tuesday…
Oh btw, they seem to have cleaned out La Brocante lately, it's no longer the absolute bomb crater that was left behind a while back. Any idea/rumours on what's going to happen there?
All good. As I said before, I always enjoy your write-ups! Especially when they are about the areas I usually frequent.
Upon reading this I first thought "hey this bit sounds familiar", then I saw the asterisk 😅
It's basically a ham-and-cheese sandwich topped with Bolognese sauce. Since Spag Bol seems to be ubiquitous in Belgium they most likely had lots of leftover sauce and invented that culinary delight 😃 You should find it at most places I reckon
I prefer the Croque Boum-Boum, which works incredibly well with a Brugse Zot.
It just occurred to me that I haven’t had the hiccups in years. Odd.
Oh yea definitely. We just felt like walking I reckon. Made the beer taste even better in the end 😅
We braved it back in February and WALKED all the way from Bourse to Koekelberg cathedral to Tipsy Tribe. Needless to say, we took an Uber afterwards 😂
If you happen to have an Italian supermarket nearby, look for Aranciata by Tomarchio. It's absolutely delicious. Think of a better tasting Fanta made with Sicilian oranges. *droooooool*
Oh wow!
Unusual, but hey, whatever tastes good, tastes good!
Now that looks proper! No chips though?
After 15+ years it was time for a new mixer.
PG Tips Monkey ftw!
I can only agree, their prices are steep, but that's to be expected at that location. Then again though, I did (re)discover some great beers there lately.
Excellent isn't it. Never heard of them before, was quite suprised how great their beers are when we visited back in February.
Nah we're doing the 3 Fonteinen event in Lot on 1 May and then on the next day we're going to see if anything is left of Cantillon's Zwanze specials.
Always good. Going to visit again at the beginning of May…it’s only been a couple of months 😂
And yet it does happen, I have a few snaps sans clouds 😃
The Day My Dog Spontaneously Combusted there he was – chasing sticks, doing tricks, and all that stuff next minute, woof Brian Bilston
Today’s poem is called ‘The Day My Dog Spontaneously Combusted’.
Hey, at least the bow is consistent 😆
What's this mysterious tick book you keep referring to?
Oh you utter masochists 😂
Oh? Reading now...
Always found the plaque in Rue des Brasseurs quite intriguing, which commemorates Paul Verlaine shooting Arthur Rimbaud with a revolver.
This is quite addictive.
