Spawning carp / Paaiende karpers
Lately I have mainly been photographing birds, but yesterday I came across a large group of spawning carp in the Horsterwold. A spectacular sight with a lot of fins splashing.

It's black is not the deepest black, and it's red is not the deepest red, but this male godwit is the closest I can get to #BlackAndRed for #BirdOfTheDay.

For the #feathers theme of #BirdOfTheDay , I have this photo of a feather on the beach at sunset that I took back in 2004 :-)
