Oh I’m also visiting Vancouver! Biked around Stanley Park today and couldn’t recommend it enough. (But FYI it’s one way, counterclockwise only)
You’d love it!

A two-way bike lane, protected by a narrow curbed median with grass and trees
Google reminds me of my one-year-ago trip to Montreal, and my God do I ever love the way they use street trees and plants to shelter the bike lane. NYC should do this.
This is so sad 😞
“While we’re busy debating throttle limits and helmet rules for e-bikes, maybe we should also talk about how tens of millions of drivers still routinely speed, blow stop signs, or scroll Instagram at 45 mph in a school zone. Or how car crashes are the number one killer of teenagers in America.”

If you are not full throatedly defending Mamdani - no ifs, ands, or buts - from this racist drivel, you're no ally of mine.
Thanks!

The receipt is so long it’s spilling onto the ground
The list is longer than I could print
Progressive platforms like Climate Defiance and @climatetown.bsky.social have endorsed Kamala Harris even though she’s a huge supporter of expanding natural gas, which is dirtier than coal. Not to mention her support for funding genocide.
Unacceptable.
It’s proposed but not yet official. Write in your support for it here!! www.regulations.gov/document/NHT...
Holding a “Congestion pricing explained” zine at a subway station entrance
Out here at one of the Brooklyn subway stations that’s been denied an elevator because of Hochul’s pause on congestion pricing. After talking to neighbors, it’s clear: Brooklyn riders want congestion pricing! unpause.nyc
“As well as making cars lighter, you can make accidents rarer and less deadly. In America the first step should be to redesign the road system.”
YES! THANK YOU!

Every single day, I find it extremely shocking that a foreign state has conspired with US politicians and a complicit media to violently suppress a nonviolent movement protesting a genocide, and somehow it’s been framed, to much of the US public, that the protesters are radical dangerous terrorists.
Such a shame. She would be an infinitely better candidate if she simply committed to stop funding genocide.
