I like inio asano
my favorite manga artist has drawn art for a card in the newest MTG secret lair. immediately I was very excited about it, and then about 20 seconds later I took a step back and realized the shame of being effectively marketed to
we now reside in the premiere pro mines once again
yugitubers are just a vehicle to distribute catchphrases to viewers
"surely we can't make a successful movie for girls based on... the most widely viewed animated film of 2025 by a lot"
happy late birthday!
I'm gonna be really sad if the haters are right and it gets hit. I feel as though it belongs in the Holy Trinity of skillful YuGiOh quick plays, rounding out book of moon and enemy controller.
People have been asking for a card that pops both spell traps and monsters that can be used both first and second since the days of mystic mine and I love that we finally have it. It even incentivizes the grind game.
Fallen and the Virtuous might be my favorite card to play with that they've printed in the last year. It feels like I learn a new application of it every 5 games I play, it's so versatile and interesting.
the smash 4 poster really takes me back
i have a script ready for recording, i always seem to be caught between making videos and regional prep...
a screenshot of the outofcharacters profile on the omega website. I have 1029 rating, a diamond rank, and 38 wins with 11 losses.
climbed to 1k Elo in omega again this season! maybe this will finally be the time where i attempt to break into their leaderboard
Every single proposed suggestion to "fix" yugioh involves turning it into another game. Yeah the game is full of design decisions other card games have rejected, many of them are why I like it and play it.
a screenshot of a Joshua Schmidt thumbnail. The video is titled "I got very close this duelist cup!" with a picture of the half-schmidtjak josh, a silver trophy, and a 12th place finish.
he's close
Crazy thing about floo is half the cards are water, it just so happens that the good boss monster is wind
i'm not in their discord or anything but their youtube channel hasn't uploaded for almost a year
a picture of 5 stick figures in a subway train. 3 of them have x'd out eyes, with the symbols for trinity, cross duel, and sped duel on their face. one figure with the symbol for domain format is thinking "I sure hope people like the new cardmarket video". one figure with the symbol for edison format is thinking "I can't wait for genesys to collapse, so *my* format can rise triumphant from the ashes".
are you sure about that
Slay the spire has taught me that I'm fine with mana as a concept, as long as there is a normal spell I can activate that generates a fuck ton of it
I stole lego figures from my cousin growing up. Nobody ever found out, but it's been tough living with the weight of my sins.
have you ever stolen anything?
Love to screen opinions with the important prerequisite of "is this take from a person who's opinion is worth thinking about, or is it from a bug that lives under rock?"
that's me!
Hundred Eyes Dragon with googly eyes
a pair of youtube comments on a similar post to the one above. Youtube user DaBullFrog asks "What possible context could explain playing spirit reaper on ur wedding day?!" OutOfCharacters responds with "i think spirit reaper is a pretty defensible inclusion in a deck from this period actually"
not where i thought i'd be having a discussion on tengu plant synchro theory, but it's fine i guess
We gotta get hundred eyes dragon 🙏
I confuse 9s, 8s, and 7s constantly, I completely agree.
It also doesn't help that Special Summon monsters aren't explicitly marked on our cards in the TCG, which this type of thing pretty much uniquely applies to. You'd have to have read a wiki or something to know about them in the first place.
It's so true, but the rule in many other game systems is that specific text in effects wins out over general rules. I can see why people would be confused that this wouldn't work until you've played yugioh a while.
Congratulations!
