That cat is clearly in a safe environment, not attacked by other animals or humans, and was likely part of a TNR Program to help curb feral cat population while keeping new ones from moving in.

Because then if someone else doesn't pick up the animal, the people who can get the animal to a better home can. You dont seem to know the lengths some abusers go to show the amount of control they have over someone.

There are many reasons for something like this to happen, and in the case of the scenarios i presented, if the person got rid of the cat without the abuser knowing, its better that they dont know who has the cat, because Ive actually watched a man hunt down someone to take a cat back only to kill it

They might've had no choice, abusive parents or partners either forcing them to get rid of the animal or them not wanting the animal to get abused as well, they'd rather their animals be outside where someone, like Mel, could pick them up and take care of them.

Not every action is one of malice.
