Update: It was a great day, but we never listened to any of the CDs we brought. We had the radio on and just talked the whole way there and back. Wonderful sets by those guys. Ray had me up to sing harmony to one of his songs. Home before 10pm.

Going on a musical daytrip with my friend (and neighbor) Ray Mason tomorrow. He's playing a shared late afternoon living room gig in Rhode Island with our mutual NYC pal Eric Ambel. I'm riding shotgun and changing the CDs there and back. I'm having fun just thinking about it.

NASA isn't why the US doesn't have universal healthcare, or a social safety net. The US doesn't have those things because politicians with the power to provide them choose specifically not to (with varying levels of support from voters). Enthusiasm for human spaceflight doesn't drive that choice.
