Watching the Artemis II landing sure is a good way to end a work week.

Similar thing happened recently where she was meeting a networking contact at a soccer event, and it turned out I had just played trivia with her and her husband a few nights before. Seattle is so small, but like, in a good way sometimes.
At the bar watching the Sounders match tonight, and my wife saw a couple she knew from some recent fitness classes, so she said hi. Turns out one of them was also in a band that we played a show with back in 2019!
I finally watched K Pop Demon Hunters and gained a minor bonus to my saving throw vs. cultural irrelevance.
The Jetsons lied to us
Trivia night for the first time in ages. Guest appearance for an established team. We ended up a half-point behind the two teams that tied for first.
Well that might have been the most frustrating soccer match I’ve ever witnessed.
Oh well, I’ll still take the three points.
A screenshot of scores from MLS today: 6-1 NER v CIN and 6-0 VAN v MIN.
Sounders have the opportunity to do the funniest thing today.
That was a weird, fun, stupid, Sounders game. I can’t believe I have to wait until mid-April to do this in person again.
I hoping Cobb gets a second yellow. I’ve never gotten to sing “nana nana hey hey he goodbye” to the same player twice in one match.
I’m kind of loving it in person. Crowd is energetic in the supporters section and we have lots of wild shit to react to at least.
Sounders fans posing with goalkeeper Andrew Thomas.
It’s true, his hair really is so fine.
Damn, I might actually get up super early to watch a Sounders pre-season match. Cant pick a better name for an opponent than Metalist FC.
I mean, those are all pretty great though.
I have a copy of the Goonies soundtrack too, from a box of records a friend gave us. It’s pretty fun!
This has really never been on vinyl? Man, someone should do something about that.

A huge stockpot filled with chopped Napa cabbage on top of a stove.
The same stockpot, filled with cabbage and other kimchi ingredients, ready to be fermented.
It was a great day to have friends over and make an actual boatload of kimchi (3 heads of cabbage worth).
Screenshot from the film “Aguirre: the Wrath of God”, showing a shaggy-haired man in baggy brown clothes clutching a spear that has pierced his chest. A subtitle reads “The long arrows are getting fashionable”.
Broke the seal on the Criterion Channel subscription I got for Xmas by watching Aguirre: the Wrath of God last night. Gotta love watching colonizers doomed by their own hubris.
The ditch has ended! First video meeting completed, guess I'm back in the real world now.
Dipped into the chilly waters of the Puget Sound for the first time. It was briefly awful and then very nice. Hung out for about 7 minutes, way longer than I was expecting.
Given the choice, absolutely.
For a second I thought you meant a Miller High Life, but this must be the name of a popular craft cocktail.
Yeah, and $4 is an easy price to pay for the convenience. Especially to be able to move new playlists later on. I play a game/app with friends that’s based on Spotify playlists, so I’m glad I don’t have to give that up.
Finally getting off Spotify. This tool did pretty well at matching my playlists and moving them over to Apple Music: www.obdura.com/playlisty/. It only missed about 300 tracks out of about 19,000 total.
Man, some of my favorite shows I saw in my Bay Area days were here. Rainer Maria, Mates of State, and Dealership matinee. From Monument to Masses opening for Hood. Cex. Zeigenbock Kopf. Numbers. Kid606.
Through 2029 you say? With an option for ‘30? Now that’s a contract I like.
Family trip completed, household gifts exchanged, no work until the new year. This is it kids, we’re in the holiday ditch for the next 8 days.

A black and brown dog with his tongue extended approached the camera in front of a woman in a black shirt and green beanie.
We traded the cats for a pack of dogs for Christmas. Temporarily.
