I deal with this by just telling everyone we’ll have enough players. They always respond with a confirmation.

The most tilting thing about getting a private game to start is that everyone wants to know who will be there and if you’ll have enough players before they commit to coming, when if everyone who did this would just agree to come, there’d be no issue
