For anyone who didn't vote for Harris because of Biden's Gaza policy, I have questions:
1) Did you understand that in our two party system, not voting for her was voting for Trump?
2) Do you think that Trump's presidency has led to less suffering for people in Gaza?

Charlie Kirk on George Floyd:
"I am also going to offer some context and some nuance about the death of George Floyd that no one dares to say out loud. Which is that this guy was a scumbag. Now, does that mean he deserves to die? That's two totally different things — of course not."
Brendan Carr, you are nothing more than the disposable tool of an authoritarian.
History will record your willful dismantling of free speech, one the most important pillars of our democracy, and I hope it sees you pay for it.
Message received, assholes, and thanks for showing us who you really are. We will not forget.

It's perilously likely that the US will fall into authoritarianism, but for us to actually become part of Russia? Hell, they've struggled to take Ukraine. No, Donny will happily install himself as dictator and exploit our nation for himself and his cronies. And for some reason, the GOP will cheer.
But I must disagree with "you're a smart guy, Donald"
Now that's a leader who cares about and respects his nation.
We support you Canada.

His blog is even called Grey Mirror, for crying out loud!
Doesn't he know that Black Mirror is cautionary??
I would love to hear @curtisyarvin.bsky.social explain how his technofeudalist society avoids the problem all fragmented feudalist societies have suffered from, as any student of history would know:
Relentless war and rampant suffering for common people.
Somehow, somewhere along the way, a few billionaires decided that Black Mirror is a better roadmap for our future than Star Trek.

Maybe @curtisyarvin.bsky.social can weigh in here?
I would love to hear their rationale -- but I think it's probably just greed -- because any student of history, which I think you would need to be to architect a future society, would see the fatal flaw in their technofeudalist vision: war, war, war.
Just remember that more than half of them probably deeply regret their Tesla purchase, and deserve some compassion.
They won the election *despite* Jan 6th, not as a result of it. It's very important to make that distinction.
I *really* hope that didn't happen enough to affect the election outcome, because I'd hate to think that people could possibly be that stupid.
Wow, Bluesky is just as dumb as Twitter! That required just a single post on Substack.
It seems to me that considering this question is vital to inform how we participate in our democracy for the next four years.
Must you try to imagine how this crosswalk could possibly advance their nefarious agenda before you decide how to vote, or should you oppose the crosswalk merely based on who is proposing it?
For example, say your town contains a group of proudly card-carrying Nazis. Make no mistake, these people are clearly evil. These Nazis propose the construction of a pedestrian crosswalk at a dangerous intersection, and the proposal comes to a vote.
Question for everyone:
Once you have determined that a given entity (individual or organization) has malign intent, are you then obligated to oppose every action by that entity, no matter how seemingly innocuous?
Note that I'm not saying "don't own guns". I'm saying "don't threaten violence, implicitly or explicitly".
I'd strongly caution against giving Trump excuses to come down forcefully on progressives. It plays right into his strategy, allowing him to claim he's fighting domestic terrorists, and you will obviously *not* win against the US military.
Nonviolent resistance is the only path. Stick with that.

I'm getting increasingly worried about how this will go for the good guys.

Well, boo. Substack is down for me.
"Grandpa, tell me again about how we banded together to erase the legacy of that 'puckered sphincter of a president', Trump."
I can't wait.
Welp, what a damn day.
