The point was that someone's AI bot was able to write the code for it without anyone having to think, plan, research, etc. Welcome to the future of SaaS now that everyone is "Agentic Coding".

At House Rabbit Society, we believe rabbits are wonderful companions, but they're not for everyone. If you've never had a rabbit before, we encourage you to spend time on our website, houserabbit.org, learning more about them, and not purchasing one impulsively for the Easter holiday.
I agree with everything you wrote and I'm still glad that he didn't call them poor performers like Zuckerberg, Musk, etc.
Every time I had to organize layoffs as a middle manager, it was awful seeing those actually responsible for the problems keep their jobs. The low performers were always execs.
Happy St. Patrick's Day, New York.
One of the worst parts of this change is how it punishes the loyal monthly subscription customers.
They get less V-Bucks each month for their money PLUS the four battle passes they pay for each year give less V-Bucks.
It's the equivalent of raising $144/year cost to $200 without admitting it.
A little rant about a so-called "AI Maturity Model" that's just really a CTO waxing about the stick he and his friends are using to beat engineers into using agentic coding.

After a free preview, Blink wants me to pay $8/month more for AI descriptions of the video clips from my camera.
During the preview, the descriptions were always useless (e.g. "a person is walking in the room") and one time scared my wife (it mistook a shadow for a person.)
Who asked for this?
This is 100% the solution when my problem cat does not want his injections. Sometimes nutritional yeast is we're feeling cheesy but want to stick to our diet.

Hey Philly!
I need your help finding 3 walls for 10x10ft murals this fall all about the most charismatic bugs in the city.
Each mural must be in a different neighborhood, so we have to cast this net as wide as possible.
Please help us spread the word!

I'm cheap and don't have to collaborate with my passwords, so I just use a KeePass DB with KeePassXC for the Desktop client and browser integration. On my phone, I use the Keepass2Android client which does autocomplete.
Right! I missed his "Amusing" kickoff. Thanks for the clarification and I'll delete that misinformed post.
Two of the three things listed are also a part of DORA as well. The third is part of the Agile Manifesto.
We've "discovered" these skills that make shipping easier over and over again.
Decided to experiment w/ the AI coding technique "ralph loop" while also toying with an older "Recipe of Theseus" idea.
How many substitutions can you make in a recipe before it's no longer the same dish? (Spoiler: It seems like recipes have load-bearing ingredients)

Are we sure it's cluelessness and not a deliberate attempt to conflate different types of AI to try and win support for GenAI?
"Ya'll loved when the NPCs in KCD2 would comment on you smelling made. That was AI! See, you want more AI!"
Late night reading about a very specific flaw in WolfSSL, a library I hadn't heard of, reminded me why I love reading niche blog posts. So I wrote about it on my own blog, lol.

"Strong pairing" has never sat right with me, either in concept or practice. IMO it eliminates the benefit of pairing by removing collaboration and honestly just seems like the polar opposite of the common "pairing is just a jr watching a sr code" problem.

Same! And I was so mad at the creepy robot hawking vodka that came on immediately after.
Dang! Fashion and practicality are often enemies :(

@magpiegames.bsky.social is making a Temeraire RPG so if you think Napoleonic era air battles between entire crews on the backs of dragons sound cool than I encourage you to keep an eye on the kickstarter

A screenshot of a TV Time wrapped showing Most Watched Shows. The top four are Taskmaster, Taskmaster: New Zealand, Wheel of Time, and Game Changer.
I have no idea how Wheel of Time ended up higher than Taskmaster Australia or other Dropout shows.
When I was in college, one of the classes was Windows NT installation and configuration. During installation wizards, our teacher would repeatedly say "Ready everything, accept the defaults"
Now that people are vibe coding, it feels very similar. Like AI told me that variable name was good, ship it

They're owned by a private equity firm. It's 100% spin until they jam more AI into the app.
You could have just said "we're owned by private equity and they kneel at the altar of AI slop" and saved a lot of words.
Love the way the accent color makes the axe blade pop.
Rogue Trader did a really great job of making Ulfar, the Space Marine, feel incredibly tanky next to even my shield-warror. It's rare that a game features an "overpowered" class/species/hero from the lore and they don't end up feeling like a level 1 grunt.
Looks like they disabled the survey.
ARC giveaway Startup Hell by Caitlin Rozakis
Do you like corporate satire, sexy demons, or crow familiars who want to steal your tortilla chips?
I have an ARC of my upcoming book, STARTUP HELL, from @titanbooks.bsky.social. It's signed, with a doodle. And it wants a home (in the US because of the realities of shipping).ππ
