She’s not back to normal health yet, but she seems to be on the mend, so maybe it really was “just” stress… 🤞

From kitty’s perspective: hooman (partner) didn’t come home one day & was gone for 5+ weeks! Came back clearly hurt, moving funny, big scary thing (walker). Only around a few hours. Gone again. Then, last weekend, hooman came home and STAYED. hooray! But two days later, gone! Where hooman??? 😰😰😰

Kitty update! Partner came home just before vet arrived. Vet did not seem hugely worried based on exam + symptoms, but we’re waiting on some test results. Meanwhile, kitty seems SO much better since the vet visit. I think it’s partner being home—was our cat literally just sick with worry this week?

Thanks 💜 I suspect it’s stress bc the poops look a lot like they did when we first adopted her (stressful time!), & she’s got reason to be stressed with the schedule being out of whack. Maybe it’s more surprising her bowels stayed so normal through all the stress the past 6 weeks.

I feel like I should have called sooner tbh. I’ve just been in denial and hoping it was a one-off. Going back and forth to caregive for partner while also keeping up with kitty’s regular needs has been hard enough. Adding in vet stuff was more than I wanted right now.

I tried it after a recent traumatic event and just got mad 😆 I hate Tetris. Picked up a random match 3 game though which I think worked similarly. Anything that hijacks your visual spatial processing enough to block your brain from focusing on the trauma is likely helpful.
