I'm biased as Mike is a good friend and he built our own passivhaus home 8 years ago. It's always worth listening to what he has to say.

Thanks for sharing this @benadamsmith.bsky.social

Kegin Esther - Cookery in Cornish We plan to film a new series of the Cornish language cookery show ‘Kegin Esther’. We will shoot 6 new episodes.

Can you help get this #Cornishlanguage project across the line? We want to produce a new series of Kegin Esther - cookery in Cornish. Less than 2 weeks to go and we need to raise a bit more. If you can’t donate - maybe you can share this? www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/kegin-esth...

And yet only 1% of new buildings are to the Passivhaus standard. That's arguably more important than solar panels.

Tax war brews over Britain’s charming little getaways by the sea Second home owners are poised to fight back as Cornwall prepares to impose double council tax – leaving councillors fearing for their budget

Some of what is being mooted in this piece to help second home owners dodge their tax liabilities is tax evasion and a criminal offence. I hope Councils who rightly want homes to be used for people who need them throw those owners into prison. www.theguardian.com/money/2025/m...

How about focusing on retrofitting our homes so they don't need that much energy in the first place?

You used to pay £45m a year for two helicopters for Rishi Sunak.

Now you pay £45m a year for two helicopters for King Charles.

Do you agree we should be paying £45m for two air ambulances for people that actually need them?

Land Registry price rise dubbed 'tax on proper journalism' Investigative newsrooms have decried a Land Registry move to double the cost of getting information, calling it a “tax on proper journalism”.

This is niche but: it is un-transparent and annoying that Land Registry docs cost money to access, but Companies House docs do not.

As a bare minimum, researchers and reporters should be able to access LR data free to aid public interest investigations
