I know they lost 5-2 but they went toe to toe with PSG for 80 minutes and were pretty unlucky

I remember watching Chelsea against Villa and PSG (first leg) and being impressed by them. No idea what's happened to them since
I don't know if I'm being harsh on Konate, but part of me thinks he would have left had Real Madrid/PSG etc made him an offer. His poor form may have forced his hand.
Either way, he's a brilliant defender when he's on form, just needs to get better at handling tough moments in games
This hasn't been an exciting season of PL football but that was a brilliant game
Those two goals sum up the title race ๐ญ
This year, the goal is to be bad, but not terrible ๐
The play-in has been amazing so far. Even if it came in for the wrong seasons, it's been a good addition to the league
Liverpool are, rightly or wrongly, building round this manager because Edwards and Hughes believe in him. But what if their successors don't?
Should clarify that Ornstein has 'heard suggestions' this will happen rather than confirming it
David Ornstein saying Edwards and Hughes will leave in 2027 worries me. Crucial window coming up and they're sounding like a lame duck regime
That Heat/Hornets game is why I love basketball. What a start to the postseason
I've tried not to criticise individuals too much this season given the collective drop-off, but it's hard not to be so disappointed by Wirtz's debut season. If it's more of the same next year, there will be serious questions
My concern now is the headspace for the rest of the season. Liverpool are basically going to be motivated by fear of missing out on the CL
Ultimately 4-0 on aggregate reflects the gap between the two teams right now. I don't think any LFC fan would have been surprised if told that outcome beforehand
Liverpool showed PSG far too much respect before HT and didn't put them under any pressure. Unrecognisable compared to similar European nights
Slot will big up the dominance for most of the second half but where was that aggression in the first? I can excuse the lack of quality, but the energy of the crowd was wasted
The Bucks just took their first step back towards being a serious franchise (pending the replacement)
I still can't bring myself to believe Spurs go down, but some of the players look genuinely distraught
First goal was mostly unlucky, but for the second it felt like PSG were just waiting for Liverpool to switch off, and they did
Everything you saw in that game tells you PSG go through next week, but there will at least be belief in the stadium at kick off. That's the positive from tonight
Liverpool set up to survive tonight and if that was the objective, it wasn't a failure. Goalkeeper and Gomez played well, and some poor PSG finishing helped too
Trent hasn't looked great in this game but the replay of that cross really shows how unbelievably precise it was. Some ball
Top man. His anticipation isn't quite what it used to be
Nowhere near the biggest issue here, but Ekitike swapping shirts with Cherki during the game has rubbed me up the wrong way
This is an utterly shameful performance from Liverpool. The possible aggregate scores against PSG don't bear thinking about
Liverpool played well in the first 30 mins but the big moments consistently go against them
@andrewbeasleyfootball.com Feels like Van Dijk gives away a lot of penalties. Am I imagining it?
I have a feeling we'll see a transition away from Alisson next year, but I might be wrong (I still think he's world-class for the record)
There's a world where Virgil van Dijk is the only Klopp-era legend who starts the majority of Liverpool's games next season. Make no mistake, this is a different team
Only four 21st century Liverpool players have made more appearances than Salah. The fact he's played virtually every meaningful game since 2017 will make his departure even more strange
