Watching American Experience "Guilded Age" for the 4th time.. each time I watch it I get more disgusted. Over the last 40yrs our Gov't has intentionally reversed every law created to prevent it all from happening again. Every single one.

I think we as a society need to let the GOP fall hard on their sword with this mess. Let them have their cake. I think at this point with all the propaganda on all sides it's the only way to reboot the American experiment.

I no longer want to beholden to the rat race and making the rich richer. When they have literally all of the money, what will they try to take then?

Think about it. Purchasing with purpose, no more supporting, elec,gas Co., big banks, profit over people..financial, housing, food security.. To not boycott companies but boycott the guilded culture of corporate greed enslaving us.

If we promoted a movement to live tiny eg; tiny house on wheels, RVs, Skoolies, fully off grid and self sustainable, we could have huge impact on the control the 2nd guilded age has on our existence.

We need to abolish stocks and Wall St. Less M/Billionaires sitting on their asses earning passive income on our backs would mean more money to distribute to the 99% who actually do the work.

So finally the masses have woken up and realized that classisim is a thing. Now we ALL must remember 130yrs ago that organized labor, investigative journalism and united progressive ideologies is what ended the Guilded Age. Let's make this work, together, permanently.

What brought the Guilded age to its end was 2 things: the Panic of 1883, and Journalists exposing mass corruption. This time I think it will be Trumps Tariff/Trade War, YouTube Journalists and incidents like what Luigi did. Shame we don't learn from history.

I'm fairly certain there was plenty of useless legislation passed during the 1st Guilded age as well.

There have been jumps in its numbers each time there have been economic and or social unrests, most notably during Covid and since the election.. it has been my dream since 09' and now just seems sensibly safer overall.

Due to the upcoming changing economy, my extended family and I are on the hunt to secure an RV for fulltime off grid living. Having watched the tiny/alternative housing movement since 09', it has steadily been climbing since its inception...
