London has led the way on community energy, demonstrating that local ownership works even where space, infrastructure and demand are most challenging.

As Mayor Sadiq Khan explains, thanks to the Local Power Plan, more cities will now be able unlock the potential of community energy.

I was honoured to be asked by @unison.org.uk Newcastle City branch to be keynote speaker for their Disability in the Workplace seminar to talk about access, adjustments, and inclusion at work, and my experience living with a disability. They also launched their disability in the workplace report

Labour is at our best when bold.

We did it with the New Deal for Working People.

We chose stronger rights and security.

We stood firm. We showed whose side we are on.

When does it move from collecting to hoarding? 😂 If I've ever campaigned for you in the last decade there's a strong possibility that your face is in this box somewhere..... I can dig deep to check upon request 😂😂

Angela has been an incredible deputy prime minister, and a personal inspiration to me as a fellow working class lad from a council estate. I'm sad to see her go... But true to her values she's done the honourable thing by accepting her mistakes & resigned, unlike what we saw from the last Government

Today was a special day, my niece Anna was Christened at St Mary's Church. My grandma, as is traditional in my family, made the cake, the topper is the same one that was on my Christening cake and the rest of the family who were born after me. This little touch made the day even more special.

I had an amazing morning at the Holy Saviour, Sugley summer fayre with Chi Onwurah MP. I always love seeing the community come together and attending community events like this one is by far the best part of being a councillor.

We took full advantage of the glorious weather this evening and delivered some more of the Spring edition of Lemington Voice. If you live in the ward and haven't had your copy yet it'll be with you soon. 🌞 #labourdoorstep

Recently a resident on Montague Street contacted me about this grassed area in need of attention following the illegal dumping of garden waste. My ward colleague and I arranged for the council to clear the area, it looks so much better! Hopefully the grass will now have a good chance of regrowing.

I am devastated to say that after 16 happy years we said our final goodbyes to our beautiful Keira earlier today. She was the most gentle, loving, and softest dog I've ever met. She now joins her best mate Kazz over the rainbow. Love you always Keekie, sleep well 🙏🌈

Absolutely shocking VAR decision on the Newcastle goal. The fact it took so long to determine shows it wasn't clear and should have stood. I feel robbed!
