My mother’s family is from the Mon Valley, and my grandfather worked at a zinc factory for US Steel in Donora. Having spent a lot of time there myself, these jobs are so critical to the fabric of these communities. I hope everyone will join me in keeping these folks in our hearts tonight.
My thoughts are with the workers and their families affected by today’s tragic accident in Clairton, and we hope for a speedy recovery for the injured.
