I believe this comic was tied to Atlas/Marvel in some way. It would later revive Captain America, Sub-Mariner, and the Human Torch. Having said that, I find this cover fascinating for 1951, but not sure what to make of it.

Just found you guys! Nice job and looking forward to working backward on your episodes!
That is a cover that makes it impossible not to read! Thanks for sharing.
Episode 53 is up and running. Scott and I checked out Ms. Marvel this time around. Issues 1 - 4 if you wanted to read ahead. As always, we had a good time with this one! Hope you hang out with us.

Every time I watch this movie, I think I can just have it going on in the background, only to find myself watching the entire film.
Just finished listening! So good! And I am not even a DC fan! Seriously though, excellent episode!
Our latest episode is out today. If you love silver and bronze age comics like we do, check us out! Obviously, this week we are giving some love to DD!

Right! Yeah, it seems I set both tracks to my mic. Now, had it been set to just Scott’s mic, I know no one would have minded, but just me…! That isn’t acceptable! 😉
I messed up this weeks recording and there was no way to fix it! So no episode this week. Scott and I will re-record it Friday and we will have it next week for sure!
And you are spot on as to why one should cut them more slack! As this podcast moves down the road, the more I understand and appreciate what it took to get an issue out.
I am looking forward to that era. Scott thought these issues were weird but I assured him we haven’t seen weird yet.
I just discovered that this is a thing. Yet to read it but it has to be the best thing ever...right?
I like the way the Silver Surfer thinks.
Scott and I are reading the Defenders 1–4 for our next recording on Friday.
If you’ve got thoughts about it, drop them here. What stuck with you?
Surfer gets it.
Yeah Billy! Thanks for the shoutout. You are a class act and it is appreciated!
Thanks Chuck, that means a lot! Just trying to have a good time and wanting like minded people along for the ride.
I didn’t know this before, but apparently when a Nazi gets electrocuted the official sound is “KAAARK!” It’s the “KAAARK!” followed by the “YAARG!” that really sells the moment.
You are the first to say that Scott and I did anything with class! Yeah, the poor mag. Thanks for the thoughtful insight as that actually impacted how Scott and I approached the whole series.
I’m guessing Purple Jacket Guy was drawn at about 11:58 p.m. on deadline night. Yikes.
We’re doing Champions tomorrow thanks to your suggestion. I’m genuinely curious, what’s your take on that book? Did you enjoy it when it came out, or does it mean something specific to you? If you’re open to it, we’d love to mention your thoughts during the episode.
This week Scott and I spend some time remembering our shared favorite artist, Sal Buscema.

I think you are correct. I just don’t recall which episode or the context. In some ways it almost seems proper for me to just keep pronouncing it the wrong way. I get the sense it didn’t bother Sal all that much.
The wife found these. I wanted the Iron Man to smell the best but I have to give that honor to Spidy!
For me, Sal’s Hulk is how I think of Hulk.
I will check out DeZuniga.
Been thinking about Sal Buscema like many of you and paging through his work again. I’ve always loved his own inks, but Ernie Chan’s touch on these really stands out. The Buscema boys and Chan were a great combination.
Scott and I have decided to talk all things Sal this Friday, but it is my hope to do B Teams the following one. I am in the mood for that type of story right now and am looking forward to it.
By no means do you have to check out the podcast, but I highly recommend fans of Jack Kirby to check out the short run of Devil Dinosaur! The art alone makes it worth your while.
