- Kira is so shocked that this worked so well, but Athrun is just “I told you he likes to learn”. But also Athrun sees how much of an effect Kira has on Shinn’s motivation so it was just him secretly going “:3c” this entire time

- after months of trial and error (and a LOT of heavy lifting because why would he depend on someone else) he’s gotten really good at identifying errors and making diagnoses on the fly
- the heavy lifting does *wonders* to his body, but he’s so dense he doesn’t notice the effects it has on the women

- Shinn at first is confused af because. how tf is he going to learn everything and then self doubt starts to crush him.
-but then it hit him. If *Kira* is trusting him to do it, then he’s gotta stay strong and LEARN
- Shinn agrees and at first he struggles hard to learn but he locks tf IN

open up.
- Athrun reveals that Shinn loves to learn new things, regardless of what it is. He also reveals that he likes to take care of Destiny, as he did so with Impulse
- Kira takes this info and assigns Shinn to perform maintenance duties on all Compass Gundams

Oh I forgot to do the first part. Here we go:

- post Freedom
- Shinn starts getting restless after a time because he’s got nothing to do after the Foundation nonsense + suppression missions
- Kira notices this and instead of going to him, he goes to Athrun. This is because he thinks Shinn won’t-
